Villa Villekula - St Augustine/Summer Haven
The Boca Aussie Posse (5 aus shepherds who own 2 families) visited Villa Villekula in
May 2003. It was pure delight for all. We will return this fall. The
wonderful three story home is pet-friendly as are many of (our fabulous
hostess) Win Kelly's vacation homes are. The brightly decorated
fish-themed home is half a block from a wide stretch of cornstarch-fine
sandy beach. The five dogs played off leash, and as long as the owners
are diligent about "picking up" we encountered no problems. We took all
the dogs on a walking ghost tour thru downtown (14 miles north) St
Augustine. Downtown is very dog-friendly, most retail stores had ice
water available to dogs. We can't wait to return.

called Reed Real Estate and Construction. The House slept 12 and was
directly Gulf Front. The house itself was extremely nice. We will be

Luxury on the Ocean
My husband and my two border collie's went to Flagler beach this
weekend, found a great place, called Luxury on the Ocean, very, very
dog friendly and right on the beach, owners loved having dogs as
guests. Our dogs ran free without a lease and enjoyed going for night
strolls on the beach, crab hunting. The place is quite costly, about
$175 per night and then with tax its costly, but what a treat for you
and your dogs.

Crane Point Resort -
We recently stayed in Marathon in the FL keys
at Crane Point Resort.
We have 2 dogs and it was a great place to stay with pets. We
had one of the cottages and the dogs loved it. There was a canal right
out
the back door that our lab loved to swim in! The owners of the property
have
dogs and we more or less let them all roam around together off the
leash
without any complaints from anyone!

Meyer's Beach. We stayed at the Best Western Beach Resort on Estero Rd.
The hotel and beach area were very well kept. I chose this hotel
because pets were allowed. Well they were not only allowed but everyone
on the staff was very friendly towards Freckles and myself. I was able
to take her on the beach at any time of the
day. (leashed). We also played in the water and at times I removed her
leash so she could chase her ball. As you can tell we had a SUPER
vacation. I would highly recommend this beach to other pet owners.

Panama City Beach pet friendly vacation rental.
It is a very nice place to stay at a very good
price. There is a law
which does not allow pets on the beach however, the back yard is
fenced, sandy, has a doggie pool, easy access to the air conditioning
through the back door. A dog's master can enjoy vacationing with peace

hello, just wanted to let you know of a great
place outside destin. it
is on coastal dune lake. we rented a 3 bedroom log cabin that was
directly on the lake. it has it own deck and boat dock with 2 boats. it
is very dog friendly. we took a 5 min boat ride across the lake to a
great beach. on sat we
probably saw 10 people max. the dogs had the best of both worlds, the
fresh water lake behind us and the ocean in front, the dogs were off
leach all the time, we put a big canopy up on the beach for shade, took
a
picnic and spent the whole day playing. it was great. the web site for

The owner is jim connelly and he is a great guy. a weekly rental
is 1025.00 and a 45 dollar pet fee We had 4 dogs he charged us 50.00:).

My husband, 3 furry children (rescued aussie dogs)
& I stayed over the weekend, in the "Poolside Bungalow" (a one bdr
suite with kitchen). The hosts/proprietors are the ever-cordial Denise
& Norm (who live on-site with their dog, Cody & cat).
The is spacious deck (complete with hammock) and pool overlook the
intracoastal, and we spent lots of time visiting with other pet-owner
guests under the tiki hut.

Just wanted to let you know
that there's a really
dog-friendly hotel in
Orlando near Universal Studios. There are a few actually, but the one
we always stay at with our lab and golden is the Quality Inn.
It's on
Sand Lake Road and International Dr in back of the 'World's
Largest McDonald's' (there are two on International Drive, so call and
ask first). They charge $6 for each pet a night, but they've never
bothered us with it and the dogs can stay in the room with a 'Do Not
Disturb' sign on the door. You need to pick up after your pet and there
are no restrictions on size or breed. It's cheap too, but clean. It's
usually $35-$45/night, but can get booked fast, so call ahead. There's
security too, so it's safe to be out with the dog at night.
Also, the Red Roof Inn (right next to Universal Studios)
allows 1 dog, regardless of size in the room. They let us have both
because we were only staying one night though. They're a little more
expensive at $70/night.

Love your site and I have a wonderful place to tell you about - it's Tezcuco Plantation here in Louisiana. It is about half way between New Orleans and Baton Rouge, a short drive off the I-10. It is fabulous, I live in New Orleans and have visited many times when I wanted to get away. They are very pet friendly and I have never failed to get back my pet deposit of $50.00. The accommodations are cottages behind the main house (pets are not allowed in the main house) and they include full kitchens, fireplaces and big old bathtubs. At Christmas, they decorate the cottages, and it is beautiful. I prefer either Masion Jolie or Le Pigeonaire over the others, but la Petite is supposed to be nice too. They have a website which is www.tezcuco.com that lists prices and shows the cottages. Unfortunately, the website does not mention that they allow pets. They also bring a lovely big southern breakfast to your room in the mornings. I also find the prices very reasonable. This will be a wonderful resource for other pet lovers. (Thank You - J.Archer)
